1. Motion Dunahee, seconded by Brooks, to approve the Consent Agenda: Minutes of the previous meeting, January 15, 2020, Minutes of the special meeting, February 13, 2020, Bills, Activity Account Statements, Treasurer’s Report, Journalism trip to Evansville on February 28th, 1st grade trip to Aquarium in St. Louis on April 7th, 2nd grade trip to the St. Louis zoo on April 27th. Roll call: Unanimous
RECOGNITION OF COMMENTS BY EMPLOYEES AND FROM THE PUBLIC Holly Prather and students presented about the Bucket Filler program/New Reading series.
NEW BOARD BUSINESS
1. Motion Leib, seconded by Porter, to set Floyd Henson Graduation date for May 19, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. All ayes.
2. Motion Brooks, seconded by Dunahee, to approve the school calendar for the 2020-2021 school year as presented. Roll Call: Porter, yes; Leib, yes; Wiley, yes; Dunahee, yes; McCoy, yes; Brooks, yes.
3. Motion Porter, seconded by Wiley, to approve the agreement for internet and phone services. Roll Call: Dunahee, yes; Leib, yes; McCoy, yes; Porter, yes; Brooks, yes; Wiley, yes.
4. Committee Reports: Superintendent Hackney reported CAC committee met on February 19th, the District Security Committee met on February 6th. The athletic committee will meet on February 26th, the technology committee will meet on March 9th, and the City/Ballfield committee will meet on March 10th.
5. Administrator Reports:
Mrs. Pearce: Dr. Seuss Day 3/12, Pre-K night is 3/19; Pre- K screenings will be 3/23 through the 26th. Kindergarten and 2nd grade getting ready to implement reading series.
Mrs. Carder: Preparing for State Testing on 3/16.
Mrs. Leonard: DARE started last week, v-ball season has started, IAR testing on 3/23, spring dance on 3/27.
T. Pearce: Preparing for SAT testing, College Board presented on test prep, FAF 3 on 3 is 3/7, and Science Fair is 3/10
McNeely: Hosting boys Basketball Regional’s week of 2/24.
Hackney-Highlighted the January 17th school improvement day. Stop the Bleed and active shooter drill will be conducted on March 6th.
6. Motion Brooks, seconded by Leib, to employ Jessica Holloway and Jacque Sloan as 6th grade volleyball coaches for the 2020 season. Roll Call: McCoy, yes, Wiley, yes, Dunahee, yes; Brooks, yes; Leib, yes; Porter, yes.
7. Motion Porter, seconded by Wiley, to accept the resignation as freshman class sponsors submitted by Susan Fleener and Terri Kautz effective the end of the 2019-2020 school year. Roll Call: Brooks, yes; Leib, yes; Wiley, yes; Porter, yes; McCoy, yes; Dunahee, yes.
8. Acknowledge the receipt of FMLA request submitted by Beth Hilmes.
9. Motion Dunahee seconded by Brooks, to accept the resignation of Rick Branham as transportation aide effective immediately. Roll Call: Porter, yes; Brooks, yes; McCoy, yes; Leib, yes; Dunahee, yes; Wiley, yes.
