Rep. Halbrook explains the stay-at-home order as a result of coronavirus on his website.
Rep. Brad Halbrook has answered some of the most commonly asked questions about Governor J.B. Pritzker’s recent shelter in place order on his website, RepHalbrook.com.
The order has been in effect since Saturday March 21st at 5 p.m. local time, and applies to the entire state of Illinois. Rep. Halbrook noted, on his website, “Unless you work for an essential business or are doing an essential activity, you should stay home. Work from home is permitted and encouraged where possible.”
He also pointed out that the order isn’t a suggestion, but a requirement in an attempt to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Illinois State Police has teamed up with law enforcement to implement the order. Still, Rep. Halbrook noted that following it can help save lives.
Groceries stores are still open, and medical care is available if needed through a doctor, a nurse hotline or a telehealth phone number. Urgent care centers are also still open.
Those experiencing symptoms are encouraged to stay at home and follow their doctor’ instructions.
