City of Newman issued the following announcement on Oct. 17.
The City of Newman is accepting applications for one Recreation Assistant position to perform a variety of work in conducting activities in connection with recreation programs and performs related work as required. This is a part-time position (up to 19 hours per week). The primary focus of this position will be to assist in conducting a variety of recreational activities and events for participants at assigned recreation facilities and perform a wide variety of customer service activities.
Applicants must be 18 years of age, have strong communication skills and be able to successfully complete a pre-employment medical examination, drug screening and background investigation.
