Casey Westfield Community Unit School District 4C Board of Education met September 30.
Here is the minutes as provided by the board:
I. The Casey-Westfield Board of Education met in regular session at 5:01 P.M. on Monday, September 30, 2019 at the Unit Office, 502 E Delaware, Casey, IL. Upon roll call, members present were Gelb, Huisinga, Hutton, Navel, Overbeck and Perie. Superintendent Dee Scott was also present. Joe Hickox entered the meeting at 5:34 p.m.

II. President Overbeck recognized visitors Betsy Collins, Kyle Thompson, Zakry Standerfer and Terry McDaniel.
III. Discussion regarding Superintendent search process. Terry McDaniel, professor from Indiana State University, addressed the board. He noted he was a part of a group from four universities that assisted school districts in finding superintendents in Indiana. He noted that their service was a no cost advisory service with the board making the final decision. The Regional Office of Education #11, headed by Kyle Thompson and Zakry Standerfer, would like to use a similar process to conduct the superintendent search for Casey-Westfield. Terry McDaniel reviewed the process that would be used by the ROE #11 Team.
Casey Overbeck reviewed her research on the process to this point. She had communicated with several individuals regarding working on a committee to review applications.
The board continued discussion and agreed that they would like to use the ROE #11 Team to assist with the search.

V.Act upon approval to adjourn at 6:09 p.m.
Motion by Hutton and seconded by Gelb. Upon roll call, members voting yea were Gelb, Hickox, Huisinga, Hutton, Navel, Overbeck and Perie. The President declared the motion carried.
