City of Effingham issued the following announcement on Oct. 9.
The Jefferson Avenue Project in Downtown Effingham is looking great and is nearing completion. Your patience and understanding have been needed and very much appreciated.
The City reminds drivers to abide by the two-hour parking policy. This policy serves to allow customers to frequent businesses for a limited duration which helps us to provide convenient parking for as many customers as possible throughout the workday.
Unfortunately, some continue to violate the two-hour parking restrictions and we need your help to improve customer service for all.
We encourage all drivers, including business owners and employees, to be aware of the need for turn over in two-hour parking spaces, and to kindly park in an unrestricted parking space.
Thank you for contributing to the beautiful, friendly environment of Downtown Effingham.
