Charleston home prices rise in May 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2018 in Charleston rose by $2,500 while total sales decreased by 24.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2018, there were 25 homes sold, with a median sale price of $112,500 - a 2.3% increase over the $110,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 33 homes sold in Charleston in May 2017.

The median sales tax in Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,101, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for May 2018.
