City of Neoga issued the following announcement on Aug. 17.
Things are happening in the next week that you will need to know. The City of Neoga will be having West 6th Street striped starting on Monday, August 19th. Plans are to start around 9 a.m. and be completed by 11 a.m. During this process, 6th Street will be closed from Rt. #45 to Elm Avenue. This includes in front of Neoga IGA. To access these areas, you will need to go to Cedar Avenue and come in on Walnut Avenue.
Then on Tuesday, August 20th, we will be striping East 6th Street from Rt. #45 to Maple Avenue. We will have this road closed for a couple hours.
Now for the big news.ALL OF EAST 6TH STREET WILL BE PARALLEL PARKING! This will allow larger vehicles to drive down 6th Street and stay in their own lane and keep everyone safe.
