Wintercloth

City of Martinsville issued the following announcement on Aug. 20.

It is hard to believe with this warm weather it is time to think about your child keeping

warm this winter, but winter will be here before we know it. The Martinsville Santa’s

Helpers would like to help you with your child’s cold weather apparel. Winter coat, winter

boots, tennis shoes & a clothing certificate (for ages preschool through senior year in high

school) handout night will be held on Tuesday, August 27 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the

Martinsville Township Community Building, downtown Martinsville. Any child, from birth

through senior year in high school, living in the Martinsville school district is eligible for

this program. A parent must accompany their child to this event. This will be the only

handout night held. If you have questions, please contact Rebecca Schiver at 217-382-4979.
