City of Effingham issued the following announcement on Aug. 5.
A portion of Rickelman Avenue, east of the storage units and west of Heuerman Trucking, will be closed starting Monday, August 05, 2019. It is expected that the closure will last approximately 8-12 weeks. Motorists are urged to consider alternate routes and follow the detour signs. Please use caution when driving in this area.
