The data shows that 17 men and one woman were released in the Paris zip code. The median age of the parolees was 39. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2016, and the oldest was a 60-year-old woman convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2013.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Joseph Gross. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2008, when he was 50 years old. He is now 61.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
