Q2 2018 Recap: Parolees in Shelbyville convicted of crimes against justice

There were two offenders convicted of crimes against justice released on parole in Shelbyville during the second quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the East Central Reporter.

The data shows that a man and woman were released in Shelbyville. The younger parolee was a 24-year-old woman sentenced in 2016. The other was a 34-year-old man sentenced in 2018.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Deseree D. Tull. She was convicted of a crime against justice in 2016 when she was 22 years old. She is now 24.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in Q2 2018 who were convicted of crimes against justice.
