Q1 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Shelby County?

There were four offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Shelby County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that two men and two women were released in Shelby County. The median age of the parolees was 42. The youngest parolee was a 36-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2016, and the oldest was a 49-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Lindy J. Miller. She was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2016 when she was 34 years old. She is now 36.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter in each Shelby County municipality.
