Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Lawrence County?

There were 12 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Lawrence County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that nine men and three women were released in Lawrence County. The median age of the parolees was 33. The youngest parolee was a 25-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017, and the oldest was a 46-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Donald J. Marshall. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2016 when he was 28 years old. He is now 30.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Lawrence County municipality.
