Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Clark County?

There were 10 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Clark County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Clark County were men. The median age of the parolees was 38. The youngest parolee was a 28-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2018, and the oldest was a 49-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Charles J. Richey. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2013 when he was 34 years old. He is now 39.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Clark County municipality.
