Q3 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Lawrence County?

There were 12 offenders released on parole during the third quarter that live in Lawrence County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that 10 men and two women were released in Lawrence County. The median age of the parolees was 37. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced in 2016, and the oldest was a 57-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Brice C. Stevens. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2015 when he was 32 years old. He is now 36.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
