City of Mason City Council met March 25.

Council Members Present Were Aldermen Francis, Mason, Mahin, Dodson And Miller. Treasurer Mike Griffin, Clerk Michele Whitehead, Superintendent Dixon And Chief Anderson Attended The Meeting. Guests Present Were Julie Mize And Chad Williams
Alderman Kirby Was Absent
Mayor Lowe Declared A Quorum Present.
Julie Mized Addressed The Council Wanting An Update On The Garbage And Debris Ordinances. She Inquired If There Was An Updated List She Could Have. Chief Anderson Replied That There Wasn’t At This Time, It Was In The Process Of Being Updated.
Superintendent Dixon Addressed The Council Regarding Spring Clean Up, It Will Be Held Sat May 11th, 2019 And Sat May 18th, 2019. Citizens Can Bring There Items Up To The Public Works Parking Area On This Dates. Times Available At A Later Date. Chief Anderson Is Working On Getting Volunteers To Help Anyone Who May Have Difficulty Getting Their Items To The Drop Off Location.
Chad Williams Asked If He Could Place A Dumpster In The Alley Between Chestnut And Pine So That He Can Work On A Building In Close Vacinity. The Council Gave Their Permission.
The Council Approved Chief Anderson Attending A Supervisor Class For 2 Weeks In August. The Cost Of The Class Is $1,000.
Alderman Francis Moved, Seconded By Alderman Mason To Approve Chief Anderson Attending A Supervisor Workshop At A Cost Of $1.000.00
Ayes: Alderman Mason, Mahin, Francis, Dodson, Miller
Nays: None
Chairman Declared Motion Carried
The Council Approved The Bid From Irc For The 2019 Road Maintenance Operation.
Alderman Mason Moved, Seconded By Alderman Franics To Approve The Bid From Irc For The 2010 Mft Road Maintenance Operation.
Ayes: Alderman Mason, Mahin, Francis, Dodson, And Miller
Nays: None
Chairman Declared Motion Carried
There Being No Further Business, The Meeting Adjourned Into Executive Session At 7:25 P.M. To Discuss Personnel.
There Was No Motion Made On The Executive Session Discussion, Tabled For A Future Meeting.
The Regular Meeting Resumed At 7:33 p.m. and adjourned at 7:34
