Q1 2019 parolees recap: who was paroled in Marshall?

There were four offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Marshall zip codes, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that two men and two women were released in Marshall. The median age of the parolees was 42. The youngest parolee is a 29-year-old woman sentenced for crimes involving drugs in 2018, and the oldest is a 60-year-old man sentenced for crimes involving drugs in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest is Michael A. Stine. He was convicted of crimes involving drugs in 2017 when he was 58 years old. He is now 60.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
