City of Martinsville issued the following announcement on June 2.
Wouldn't it be nice to enjoy your garden or farmer's market produce all year
long? You can by canning! Join Extension Food and Nutrition Educator, Mary Liz
Wright on Monday, July 15 from 6:00-8:30 p.m. at the Clark County Extension Office
in Marshall. The cost is only $5 and you can expect to learn the latest scientific
methods for preserving food safely, gain hands-on canning experience, take home
the products you preserve, and test your dial pressure gauge (if you have one, just
bring the lid)
