City of Effingham issued the following announcement on May 2.
Elks National Law Day Celebrated at Effingham City Hall May 2. Thank you to our local Elks and to the local schools!
Students from St. Anthony High School and Effingham High School will learn first-hand about city government with tours of the new Police Station, Fire Station, Waste Water Treatment Plant, and Water Treatment Plant under the supervision of City staff. The Elks will sponsor a luncheon and the day will finish with a mock City Council Meeting where the students will participate in decision-making procedures for the City.
