Humboldt home prices rise in the first half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2017 in Humboldt rose by $213,967 while total sales decreased by 75%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $294,917 - a 264.3% increase over the $80,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were eight homes sold in Humboldt in the first half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Humboldt for 2017 was $1,619. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,664. This marks an decrease of 2.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.5%.
