Oblong home prices rise in the first quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2017 in Oblong rose by $51,250 while total sales increased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2017, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $68,750 - a 292.9% increase over the $17,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Oblong in the first quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Oblong for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $1,223.60, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2017.
