Charleston home prices fall in June 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in June 2017 in Charleston fell by $1,000 while total sales remained unchanged with 33 homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

In June 2017, there were 33 homes sold, with a median sale price of $114,000 - a 0.9% decrease over the $115,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 33 homes sold in Charleston in June 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Charleston for 2017 was $2,101.09. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,134.90. This marks an decrease of 1.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.8%.
