The campaign committee of state representative candidate Terry Davis, Friends of Terry Davis, returned a $5,000 contribution from Mary Drake on April 11, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Drake has not made any other contributions to Terry Davis in the past 12 months.
