City of Effingham issued the following announcement on March 7.
Mayor Jeff Bloemker proclaims March 2019 Women’s History Month at the March 5th City Council Meeting.
“It’s an honor to publically recognize the incredible tenacity and wherewithal women possess to lead in the workforce, our communities, and our churches, all the while remarkably holding the family unit tightly in check."
Mayor Bloemker continued: "When I signed this I was thinking of my daughters, my wife, my mom, and my sister. Thanks to all women for always being willing to carry the burdens."
"Having the Women of the Downtown Effingham Business Group at City Hall was fantastic!"
