Analysis: Teutopolis administrators rank 413rd in state for average pay

Administrators in Teutopolis Community Unit School District 50 earn an average of $100,144 per year, ranking 413rd out of 864 districts in the state, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 7.8% higher than in 2014 and 9.3% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 6.7% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Effingham County school district enrolled 1061 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 265 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
