Analysis: Shiloh administrators rank 371st in state for average pay

Administrators in Shiloh Community Unit School District 1 earn an average of $101,938 per year, ranking 371st out of 864 districts in the state, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 17% higher than in 2014 and 24.2% higher than in 2009. District administrators make 5% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Edgar County school district enrolled 399 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 266 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
