Report: North Clay spent $7,826 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at North Clay Community Unit School District 25 is up 2.3 percent from five years ago, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Clay County school district spent $7,649 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $7,826 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 703 to 640.

North Clay's spending in 2017-18 was 41.3 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
