Report: Jasper County spent $8,976 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Jasper County Community Unit School District 1 is down 3.7 percent from five years ago, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Jasper County school district spent $9,322 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,976 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1440 to 1330.

Jasper County's spending in 2017-18 was 32.7 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
