Report: Marshall spent $8,312 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Marshall Community Unit School District 2C is up 1.5 percent from five years ago, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Clark County school district spent $8,191 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,312 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1346 to 1306.

Marshall's spending in 2017-18 was 37.7 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
