Report: Cumberland spent $8,310 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Cumberland Community Unit School District 77 is down 3.1 percent from five years ago, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cumberland County school district spent $8,580 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,310 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1047 to 1056.

Cumberland's spending in 2017-18 was 37.7 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
