Report: Arthur spent $9,186 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Arthur Community Unified School District 305 is down 13.1 percent from five years ago, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Douglas County school district spent $10,572 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,186 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 842 to 1236.

Arthur's spending in 2017-18 was 31.1 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
