Report: Arcola spent $10,048 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Arcola Community Unified School District 306 is up 17.7 percent from five years ago, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Douglas County school district spent $8,537 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,048 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 783 to 716.

Arcola's spending in 2017-18 was 24.7 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
