Report: Teutopolis spent $8,007 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Teutopolis Community Unit School District 50 is down 5 percent from five years ago, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Effingham County school district spent $8,424 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,007 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1074 to 1061.

Teutopolis's spending in 2017-18 was 40 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
