Report: Paris Union spent $10,113 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Paris Union School District 95 is up 59.2 percent from five years ago, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Edgar County school district spent $6,354 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,113 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1264 to 978.

Paris Union's spending in 2017-18 was 24.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
