Report: Paris spent $9,417 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Paris Community Unit School District 4 is up 7.9 percent from five years ago, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Edgar County school district spent $8,728 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,417 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 706 to 453.

Paris's spending in 2017-18 was 29.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
