City of Newman issued the following announcement on Jan. 18.
The City of Newman is accepting applications for one Police Officer position to perform a variety of complex activities in administering sworn police services and programs for the City’s Police Department. Under general supervision, a police officer performs law enforcement and crime prevention work; controls traffic flow, enforces State and local regulations; and performs comprehensive criminal investigation work on special assignments.
This is a full-time position with the City of Newman Police Department. This position may be required to work various shifts or emergencies on evenings, weekends and holidays. Applicants must successfully complete a pre-employment medical examination, drug screening, and background check. A valid California Driver’s License and current P.O.S.T. academy certificate are required. For additional information, please click on the links below:
