City of Martinsville issued the following announcement on Jan. 13.
The library will be “sharing the love” with all of the Martinsville
patrons during the month of February. We will be forgiving
fines! How does this work? Do you have outstanding fines on
your account that are keeping you from being able to borrow
material? Just come in during the month of February and ask
us to “share the love” by wiping out those fines! We will remove
all fines from you account. This does not apply to lost or
damaged material. You must come into the library and ask the
staff to remove your fines. The fines must belong to Martinsville
patrons. It is only applicable during the month of February as
