City of Martinsville issued the following announcement on Jan. 10.
What is a plant-based diet? It is a diet based on plants. It is centered around fruits,
vegetables and whole grains, beans, legumes, nuts, and seeds with minimal or no
animal-based foods like meat, fish ,eggs, or dairy.
The library will be hosting plant based cooking programs on January 17th and February
21st at 5:30 pm. You don’t have to be on a plant based diet to enjoy this program. In
January we will be making stir fry. February will be hummus, more than one way. Join
us for some hands on learning, great take home recipes and some fun taste testing.
While it is not necessary to RSVP for this program, it is appreciated.
