City of Effingham issued the following announcement on Nov. 14.
Effingham Mayor Jeff Bloemker and the City Team braved the frigid weather for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the new Henrietta Street Project.
This project includes infrastructure improvements to Henrietta Street from Temple to Evergreen. This north and south corridor is now open to traffic.
City Engineer/Planner Jeremy Heuerman acknowledged those instrumental in bringing this project to fruition: Mayor and City Council; Travis Johnson, Civil Technician; Catelyn Vail, Technical Assistant; Milano and Grunloh Engineers (Design Engineers) Michael Tappendorf and Lee Beckman; Effingham Asphalt (General Contractor) Bob Hoene and Gregg Kabbes; and John L. Lewis Construction (Sub-Contractor).
