City of Effingham issued the following announcement on Oct. 27.
Effingham County FISH Human Services recently held a benefit cookout in the Effingham Save-a-Lot parking lot. Mayor Bloemker seized the opportunity to have a tasty lunch.
"FISH is one of my favorite charitable organizations," said the mayor. "These folks are non-denominational and will help anyone in need. I'm so proud of them and the work they do."
