CITY OF EFFINGHAM: Parking Survey Created for Downtown Businesses

Parkingsurvey

City of Effingham issued the following announcement on Oct. 24.

Downtown Effingham has come alive with activity evolving into a vibrant retail and dining district.

With this progression, an influx of visitors in the downtown area sparks interest in parking.

At a recent City Council meeting, the Council discussed potential improvements and enforcement of current parking regulations. Many downtown business owners came forward asking that the City leaders take time to work with the business community in finding the best solution. In response, the City has created a survey to collect input from downtown business owners. The survey will be available in print and on the City’s website until November 2, 2018. Print copies can be picked up and returned to the Utility Billing Office in City Hall, located at 201 E Jefferson Ave weekdays from 7:30am to 4:30pm.

We look forward to discussing the results at a future City Council meeting.
