Arcola City Council met September 17.
Here is the minutes as provided by the council:
Mayor Ferguson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Members present were Alderpersons Hensley, Ferguson, Guyot, Huckstep and Smith. Alderman Foran was not present. City Administrator Wagoner, Treasurer Anderson and Attorney Bequette were also present.
Pledge of Allegiance Alderman Hensley led the council and audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Public Comment There was none.
Approval of September 04, 2018 Council Meeting Minutes Alderman Smith moved to approve the September 04, 2018 council meeting minutes as presented and was seconded by Alderman Guyot. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Approval of September 01, 2018 – September 14, 2018 Bills Alderman Smith moved to approve the September 01, 2018 – September 14, 2018 bills amended with the payment to Ray O’Herron for Police Dept. changed to $226.74. Alderwoman Huckstep seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Consider and Approve Ordinance No. 18-C-7, An Ordinance Amending Chapter 11 of The Arcola Municipal Code – Food Truck/Trailer Licensing Alderwoman Huckstep moved to approve Ordinance No. 18-C-7 and was seconded by Alderman Hensley. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Consider and Approve Change Order #1 Truck Route – Halverson Construction -- $5,882.47 Alderman Guyot moved to approve Change Order #1 Truck Route – Halverson Construction in amount of $5,882.47. Alderwoman Huckstep seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Consider and Approve Pay Request #3 – Truck Route – Halverson Construction -- $184,915.97 Alderman Guyot moved to approve Pay Request #3 – Truck Route – Halverson Construction in amount of $184,915.97. Alderwoman Huckstep seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Consider and Approve Change Order #1 – TIF Water Main Project – NWN Cable Construction, Inc. -- $4,800.00 Alderman Guyot moved to approve Change Order #1 – TIF Water Main Project – NWN Cable Construction, Inc. in amount of $4,800.00. Alderwoman Huckstep seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Consider and Approve Pay Request No. 1 – TIF Water Main Project – NWN Cable Construction, Inc. -- $58,204.35 Alderman Guyot moved to approve Pay Request No. 1 – TIF Water Main Project – NWN Cable Construction, Inc. in amount of $58,204.35. Alderwoman Ferguson seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
Committee Reports
Alderman Hensley Had nothing at this time.
Alderwoman Ferguson Had nothing at this time.
Alderman Guyot Reported the Park, Street & Alley Committee met
prior to this meeting and discussed amending 22-9-
6 of Chapter 22 in Municipal Codes. Also
discussed setting weight limit on N. Locust Street,
Change Order #1 for Halverson Const., Pay Request
#3 for Halverson Const., and another Safe Routes to
School Grant.
Alderwoman Huckstep Had nothing at this time.
Alderman Smith Reported the Police, Ordinance & Enforcement
Committee met after 9-4-18 meeting and went into
executive session.
Mayor Ferguson announced that the Village of Ogden is hosting the CIMOA meeting October 18th. Also that the Arcola Telecare will be dissolving on October 15th. They have done a lot of good things for the people of Arcola over several years.
As this concluded the business of the meeting, Alderwoman Huckstep moved to adjourn and was seconded by Alderwoman Ferguson. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
