City of Olney issued the following announcement on Oct. 2.
This is the 40th anniversary of the Olney Squirrel Count. We would like to thank our helpful counters, and have a few squirrel box nests that will be given away.
City of Olney resident squirrel counters will be entered into a drawing to win one of these.
Funds for the box nests were received in memory of Peter Martz, and the labor to make the nests was provided by local squirrel lovers.
