Effingham Community Unit School District 40 issued the following announcement on Sept. 10.

Effingham Unit #40 is proud to announce the hydroponics program that was integrated into multiple grade levels across the district will be highlighted on a couple of television networks this week. A film crew from Food Quest, starring Kim Alexis and Mario Lopez, was in district last June. The production crew interviewed teachers and students to discuss the impact the educational program has had in the classroom. Representatives from Tower Gardens, the company that designed the hydroponics towers, were also on site.

We are excited to share the final production is scheduled to air on the following dates and stations. 

• Rescheduled Air Dates:

  Thurs, Sept 20 at 10 pm ET/PT on FYI

  Fri, Sept 21 at 2 am ET/PT on FYI

  Sat, Sept 22 at 10 am ET/PT on A&E
