Effingham Community Unit School District 40 issued the following announcement on Sept. 7.
Unit #40 Superintendent Mark Doan and Special Education Coordinator Jenny Seachrist welcome special education teacher Santhi Karamcheti from India who was recognized as one of the Top 50 teachers in the world in 2016.
Santhi is visiting several school across the United States to learn more about the work they are doing.
