Neoga Community Unit School District 3 issued the following announcement on Aug. 29.
"Attention parents of 5th graders! In the 5th grade, students have the great opportunity to join band here in Neoga.
5th grade recruitment night is Thursday, September 6th from 4-7pm in the Neoga Elementary School commons.
If your student is interested in band they must attend this event! This night is your student's chance to try out any instruments they may be interested in and find the best fit for them.
You may arrive any time between 4:00 and 7:00, but know that instrument try-outs will be on a first come-first served basis.
A note was sent home last Friday, August 24th containing additional information and all of the details you may need.
If it did not reach you, it is attached for your convenience. If you cannot attend this event, but your child is interested in band, please contact Mr. Roush via phone or email to set up an individual appointment to try out instruments.
We hope you and your students are excited about this possibility!"
