Stewardson-Strasburg Community Unit School District 5A students suspended 3 times in a single school year

Stewardson-Strasburg Community Unit School District 5A reported three suspensions for 2016-17, according to the latest student discipline report by the Illinois State Board of Education.

According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 3 students during the year. That equates to 0.9 percent of the 349 students enrolled.

The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for violence without physical injury. The category includes one incidents. There were one incidents of tobacco. For two incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.
