According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 456 students during the year. That equates to 16.4 percent of the 2,788 students enrolled.
Of the 269 in-school suspensions, 191 were given to boys and 78 were given to girls, all of whom were high schoolers.
The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes 265 incidents. There were three incidents of tobacco. For 217 incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.
Of the 187 out-of-school suspensions, 158 were given to boys and 29 were given to girls, including 111 elementary or middle schoolers and 76 high schoolers.
The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes 177 incidents. There were nine incidents of drugs. For 106 incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.
