City of Charleston Fire and Police Board of Commissioners will meet on July 9.

Approval of Minutes

     1. Accept and approve the general session minutes of the May 14, 2018 regular meeting. (This item was tabled at the June 11, 2018 meeting.)

     2. Accept and approve the general and executive session minutes of the June 11, 2018 regular meeting.

     3. Accept and approve the general and executive session minutes of the June 25, 2018 special meeting.

New Business

     4. Elect a Chairman. (This item was tabled at the May 14, 2018 and the June 11, 2018 meetings.)

     5. Accept and approve the oral interview portion of the hiring process for Experienced Police Officer Candidate Cody Hammond.

     6. Accept and approve the background portion of the hiring process for Experienced Police Officer Candidate Cody Hammond.

     7. Authorize the Board Secretary to schedule the psychological and physical examinations for Experienced Police Officer Candidate Cody Hammond.

     8. Accept and approve the physical examination report for Firefighter-Paramedic Candidate Austin Upton.

     9. Accept and approve the psychological examination report for Firefighter-Paramedic Candidate Austin Upton.

     10. Accept and approve the physical examination report for Firefighter-Paramedic Candidate Hunter Thomson.

     11. Accept and approve the psychological examination report for Firefighter-Paramedic Candidate Hunter Thomson.

     12. Accept and approve the 2018 Integrated Experienced Police Officer Final Eligibility List.

     13. Accept May 10, 2019 @ 4:00 p.m. as the official date and time for the fire promotional written examination.

     14. Accept May 11, 2019 @ 8:00 a.m. as the official date for entry-level testing for both police and fire.

Recommendations for Removal, Hire, and Promotion

     15. Promote 1 Police Sergeant to the rank of Lieutenant.

     16. Promote 1 Police Patrolman to the rank of Sergeant.

     17. Hire Firefighter-Paramedic Candidate Austin S. Upton.

     18. Hire Firefighter-Paramedic Candidate Hunter W. Thomson.

     19. Remove Scott Workman and Stuart Myers from the integrated Police Sergeant’s Final Eligibility List as their term on the list has expired.
