Village of Noble Village Board met May 29.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The meeting was called to order and present were Richard Clark, Tresa Hundley, Paul Summers, Gary Ulm, Janet Pflaum and Carol O’Dell. Absent Judith Anderson and Carl Klingler.

Opened with silent prayer and followed by reciting Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion made by Paul Summers to approve May 14, 2018, minutes. Seconded by Carol O’Dell.

All voting Aye.

Tentative budget is prepared and will be presented at the next board meeting.

Hydrants were flushed May 14 & 15, copy of report available for review. Mayor Clark will check on the one hydrant marked that it is not hooked up.

Farmers Market in Noble Park each Thursday 3p.m. to 6p.m.

Village received a donation of $50.00 for maintenance of cemetery.

Mosquito spraying will be done in the Village on Tuesday & Thursday nights

The garbage will be picked up on Thursday May 31 due to Memorial Day.

Village employee Lonnie Smith was mowing on Oak St. and Tara Stallard reported to the

Village she thought a rock from mower/tractor hit and busted out a window of her vehicle while it was parked at Jerry Burnell’s residence.

Motion made by Janet Pflaum to pay the Richland County Clerk $3,000.00 for Animal Control. Seconded by Carol O’Dell. Roll Call Vote Taken, all voting Aye with exception of Paul Summers votingno. Motion carried.

Board had no objection to the Committees remaining the same.

Trustee Summers mentioned signs and chemical for around the lagoon. Village Clerk informed the board she was told that there are 3 metal signs one at each gate and a sign on the fence all stating keep out. Mayor Clark had already discussed matter with Village employee Bill Manuel.

Trustee Summers said Bill has done a good job cleaning area and need to keep cleared.

Mayor Clark mentioned the resident’s semi-trailer parked at 104 E. North Ave. and asked the board members if they objected to allowing the resident to park the semi beside the Village substation on village property. No objection made. Trustee Summers asked if there was rock in the parking area. Mayor Clark said no there wasn’t. Trustee Ulm said thought there was 2 strips of sidewalk.

Mayor Clark informed the board that the Village tractor was inoperable and if board had no objection it would be sent to Junckers (who have worked on it before). Village was given an approximate cost of $250.00 for harness and $800 for labor. Board did not object.

Motion made by Gary Ulm to pay bills. Seconded by Paul Summers. All voting Aye.

Motion made by Paul Summers to adjourn the meeting at 7:28 p.m. Seconded by Carol O’Dell.

All voting Aye.

Meeting adjourned until June 11, 2018, at 7:00 p.m.
